Abstract
In order to validate a questionnaire aimed at parents and therapists working with children in EIBI, group differences between children with and without autism were investigated. As predicted, children with autism was reported to have a more limited repertoire of socially mediated stimuli functioning as reinforcers, but were also reported to exhibit more stereotypic behaviors, assumed to be reinforced by automatic reinforcers.
