Abstract
It is well known that teaching one behavior or discrimination makes acquisition of similar behaviors and discriminations easier. This poster reports the diminishing number of trials required to master seven different motor imitation skills (of three different kinds: gross, complex and object use), and number of trials to master the correct response to 6 prepositions in relation to 9 different objects. The results yields a good illustration of the generalization effect to novel behaviors and discriminations.
