Abstract
Two groups of sixteen participants trained identity matching under limited hold (LH) contingencies to establish rapid responding. The LH levels in the training was 0.7 s for the sample and 1.2 s for the comparisons. Subsequently, the participants were trained to form three 5-member classes in a LS training structure under the same rapid conditions. The A, B, D, and E stimuli were abstracts, and the C stimuli were familiar pictures. Two tests for derived relations were implemented after the training. For Group 1, the LH levels in the tests were the same as in the training. For Group 2, the LH levels were 0.7 s for the sample, and increased by 5 s, or 6.2 s for the comparisons. Eight out of 16 participants responded in accordance with stimulus equivalence in Group 2, and no one in Group 1.
