Abstract
Behavior Analysis is traditionally divided into four different subsystems; conceptual, experimental, applied and practice guided behavior analysis. The presentation will emphasize how applied behavior analysis should not be a technique-driven approach which is not rooted in the discipline Løkke, Arntzen, and Løkke (2012) argue for adding a fifth subsystem, translational research as a bridge between these two subsystem. We will describe some of the issues within behavior analysis and discuss how translational research may have an essential role in behavior analysis. Last, we will present one of our lab’s contributions related to the research on cancer.
